I had the amazing opportunity to paint a fun and adorable mural for a family owned restaurant in Chicago's Chinatown - Hing Kee
With much of the world shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, smaller restaurants like Hing Kee are taking advantage of the down-time to update their spaces. I was contacted by the owner's lovely daughter, Angela, about designing something fun and cute to spice up a long blank wall that is visible from the street. Inspired and influenced by the work of Jiaqi He, another Chicago artist, Angela and I came up with a fun design that would fit the restaurant's space.
I can't wait to visit Hing Kee when it reopens, and I hope you will stop by too to check out the awesome food and adorable mural!
