Painting parties galore!
I had the pleasure of teaching not one but TWO painting parties this weekend!
One was for some young professionals at an apartment complex, the other was for a baby shower. They were so different but both so fun!
At the first, we painted an abstract Chicago skyline. As tends to happen with abstract paintings, things got messy before they got awesome. This is because my approach is to start broadly and work towards greater, finer detail. As such, the painters started losing hope after working on their abstract sky for a solid 45 minutes, but as soon as we started putting in our silhouette skyline... Magic!
I absolutely love how different everyone's paintings turned out!
Next I taught a lotus/ohm painting for a baby shower... over 40 people painted! It was magical!
